2025 Lost and found
(Contains 18 photos) This latest series is called 'Lost and Found'. I am harmonising shapes and pulling together the different ways I work on paintings. I am exploring shapes, marks and colours that come from my previous work, from sketchbooks, from letters, from the natural environment and from my memories and experiences. The figure is a natural shape, as is a tree or a wave. We are the same and we are different. Nature makes these shapes which are all unique. |
2025 Untethered
(Contains 16 photos) 'Untethered' is a collection of abstract coastal scenes combining the moods of the sea with marks on the beach and the shapes and lines sketched from the perspective of standing on the land look over the water. Many of the titles are inspired by Annie Worsley's 'Windswept' - a beautiful, poetic book about nature. |
